October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month...Going for a Walk
Hi Ladies,
I'm not sure if you all know that the month of October is breast cancer awareness month. The American Cancer Society hosts 3.1 miles walks/run throughout the country, through their organization: "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" in order to raise money for fighting breast cancer, through research and services. I plan to participate in this years walk in Baltimore, on Sunday October 16th. I am so excited to be able to help raise funds that will be used to continue research for better ways to treat the disease and to provide services for people that can't afford them. I have been the beneficiary of their research and I'm glad that I can do something to help the organization and those with cancer.
For more information about the walk, please consider looking at my Personal Page and making a donation, of any amount. Also, if anyone is interested in joining me on the walk, you are more than welcomed.....it'll be great fellowship! (I am NOT encouraging you to miss church :-D) Please feel free to pass along the website to anyone you think would be interested. You're prayers for the walk itself is also significant....everything counts.....Thank You!! Let's work together to make a difference for someone and their family :-D
