I just need to hear anything.

No matter your diagnosis, you are LIVING with cancer. Don’t let a stage or someone’s timeline define your life. Be kind to yourself, do things you love and keep living.

Frequently Asked Questions

More than 25,000 people actively use Cancer Support Community’s private support platform to help navigate their cancer journey every year. Our online community includes patients, survivors, caregivers, family, and loved ones impacted by cancer. It is a safe space for you to create genuine connections with others impacted by cancer to reduce stress, anxiety, and isolation.

  1. Begin by entering your email address or phone number, then click the red ‘Submit’ button.
  2. Check your inbox for an email sent from noreply@mylifeline.org, with the subject line “Verify Your Account”. Click on the button in this email to complete authorization.

Or if you register using your phone number, you will be texted a 6-digit code to enter on the site.

  1. Next, create a password. If you ever forget your password, there is a link on the login page to reset it.
  2. Fill out a quick information form with some basic information and your personal preferences.
  3. That’s it! Now you will go directly to MyLifeLine Home and can begin connecting with your community

Has your friend told you they created a MyLifeLine site, and you're here to find it? Once you have registered an account, you can search for your friend's private site.

Note: MyLifeLine members have the option to make their site searchable or not. So, only members who choose to be included in the search will show up in your results. If your friend chooses to exclude their site from search, you will need to ask your friend for an invitation link to their site.

Follow these steps to search for your friend’s site:

  1. Log in at: mylifeline.org/login with your email address and password. When you've successfully logged in, you will see "Welcome back, [your name]" in the upper right corner of the page.
  2. Go to the My Private Community section in the top left corner. Click the magnifying glass icon.
  3. Enter your friend’s first and last name. Or, if you know it, enter your friend’s community name (e.g.TeamJane).
  4. Look for your friend's site in the search results and click on their profile. Then click “Register to comment” and follow the prompts to send your friend a join request.
  5. Once you are approved by your friend, you’ll be able to leave messages of support, comment on their updates, and volunteer for any Helping Calendar events.

What if I can’t find my friend’s site?

If you don’t see your friend’s site in the search results, you will need to request an invitation link from your friend directly outside of the MyLifeLine platform.

While you are welcome to do both, MyLifeLine.org does not require you to do either. You are free to join our discussion forum to reach out to others like you. You do not need to create a personal site to do that.

Or if you just want to connect your personal network together to simplify your experience and receive emotional and logistical support from your loved ones, you can create a personal site. As well, you can change your mind in the future should your needs change as you move through your unique cancer experience.

All information provided to MyLifeLine.org is confidential. The data collected is to provide you with personalized information and resources to help you along your cancer journey. Your information is not used or sold. And demographic data is reviewed in aggregate to ensure the MyLifeLine application is adhering to our mission to ensure that no one — regardless of cancer diagnosis, race, gender, or physical location — faces cancer alone.

Yes, you can easily create a site for someone else. First, you will be prompted to fill out your loved one's name and email address. Once completed, you will set up your loved one's site as you would your own.

If they want to log on at any point, they will simply use the same email address that you used in set-up and follow the instructions on the webpage or click on the link emailed to them.

As they log in, they will be prompted with a customized message and registration form to complete with their own preferences. Upon completion of this custom registration, they will be directed back to the login screen. And after logging in, they will be taken directly to their MylifeLine Home page
