My Story

Last updated: Mar 29 2014

I have thought and thought of what to say here...searching for words of wisdom to express my feelings, my emotions, my gratitude...well, it ain\'t happening very easily for me, so, I\'m just going to ramble a bit

When I was first told about the cancer (October 25), I guess I just thought I would keep it all to myself...not tell anyone and just let stuff take it\'s course. My wise intern doctor told me I owed it to my girls to find out what was the cause of the disease and what my options were to fight it. Of course she was right, and there was no way I could keep this from Chuck....wow, has he been wonderful.

So after MRIs, scans, and biopsies, it turns out I am probably the luckiest person in the world. I take an anti-hormone pill a day, have radiation when needed for pain, no chemo or surgery for now...and geez, I\'m pretty much good to go.Thank you all for your incredible prayer support.

Hearing from people I have always thought so highly of has been an \"awesome\" perk .
Thank you for reaching out to me. You give me strength.

Here is Alexis\'s blog for checking out the progress on my G-Baby.
