HI J.,

It's lovely to see you here too, just the boost of courage I need to "come out".

We've met up at the MBC (mets only)forum at https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/8

After years of being directed to bco by google searches, I finally joined last November to meet Rosevalley and participate in the dying and death community at https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/8/topics/770023...

Curious Tilt Of The Sun Traced To Undiscovered Planet

October 21, 2016

https://www.caltech.edu/news/curious-tilt-sun-traced-undiscovered-planet-52710

Planet Nine—the undiscovered planet at the edge of the Solar System that was predicted by the work of Caltech's Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown in January 2016—appears to be responsible for the unusual tilt of the sun, according to a new study.

The large and distant planet may be adding a wobble to the solar system, giving the appearance that the sun is tilted slightly.

"Because Planet Nine is so massive and has an...

I'm alive, just really sick...right now that looks like waking every 60-90 minutes all night long with a variety of symptoms - dry mouth, pain, nausea (not vomiting!), urinary urgency & retention (cancer leaning on bladder), pooping at 1 or 3 AM and shortness of breath.

During the day it looks like morning appointments with hospice nurses; shifts with afternoon caregivers; trying to get some "work" done and sleeping...

I’ve been in a period of accelerated learning requiring long hours of sleep.

Now my periods of wakefulness are akin to my former periods of napping – a departure from reality. Dream time is my lifetime, though I seldom sleep for over 2 hours at a time. There are so many aspects of dying of cancer that are much more troubling than pain –...

My recent post at breastcancer.org:

I was so dumb wrong!

20 years ago, I was told again that I'd die of breast cancer soon. My then-partner and I assembled a group to support us through what seemed soon and certain. I began holding "last visits". My living memorial was my 40th birthday bash. And I went on to have many life-threatening and...

Good grief, my friends, get with my journey already or wave goodbye from the shoreline!

Dear mylifeline friends,

I’ve entered a new place in living with dying and am pretty sure that my loved ones aren’t all keeping up with me.

Today, I want to explore this alien ground, because it may be utterly foreign to many of you, even those deemed death professionals.

Here’s how it appears to me at this moment:

Many months ago, I stopped trying to meet most of my friends in their/your worlds. Until then, I was well known for matching and tracking others’ lives. I graciously received the details and feelings of your concerns, reflecting back to you and reinforcing your own...

My dad's living memorial

The topic of living memorials spontaneously arose in three very different places. I was reminded of my father's living memorial. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat stories make up the next two updates. I've … personal information that others may not want shared. Left my own name and story, after signing a privacy release. (that's a joke!)

The wise old woman was his mother, my grandmother, Florence Stark Sugars, who grew up in the Missouri Ozarks and had only an elementary school education. She learned more than most in life's school of hard knocks.

TEACHER DIES DAYS AFTER OWN MEMORIAL NO FURTHER SERVICES FOR EX-EDUCATOR IN HEALDSBURG SCHOOLS

[FINAL Edition]

Chris Smith Staff Writer. The Press Democrat [Santa Rosa, Calif] 18 Aug 1998: B1.

Having enjoyed attending his own memorial service last weekend, retired Healdsburg school teacher E.B. Sugars died peaceably early Monday at his Santa Rosa apartment.

Sugars, 66, was so weakened by advanced lung cancer he feared he might not be up to attending last Saturday afternoon's potluck celebration at which more than 200 relatives, friends and former students shared stories and memories of his...

that which touches we most is that I had a chance to work with people
