It was my goal for the new year to walk all the way to the end of our road and back, which is exactly a two mile walk. So I set out on this beautiful morning at a brisk pace after a breakfast of yogurt, cereal and strawberries (sorry no raw eggs were consumed). When I made it to the end of the road I did a little dance Rocky Balboa style and then realized that I shouldn't get too excited just yet since I had to make it back home ... uphill. Well, I made it! I had my last chemo day last week on Oct. 24! I am so happy to be done with this crap! (Although the crap isn't quite done with me yet - still having some side effects this week).
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and all looks pretty good at this point. I will have a PET scan in two weeks and see the doctor again in three weeks. It's almost impossible to believe that I've had such good results. I think I owe this outcome to a combination of many things: 1) Incredible doctors and nurses (their incredible expertise and compassion); 2) advances in drug therapy (chemo sucked,…
