Gain control and reduce anxiety to save your energy for healing. It’s the power of emotional connections, together with practical day-to-day assistance that can see you through to more positive cancer outcomes.
Research shows that strong support communities can be beneficial to cancer outcomes. Dr. Paul Nguyen, Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center, Boston, MA summarizes his research saying “This finding suggests that there may be ways to improve cancer outcomes in addition to anti-cancer therapy. Improving social support for our patients may be equally important as providing effective therapy, and it is less costly to develop and implement.”
